CEA PRIVACY POLICY

Thank you for visiting the Canadian Education Association (CEA) site. All personal information collected by CEA via this website or otherwise is done so in accordance with the following privacy statement.

Certain processes (e.g. electronic or printed forms for membership signup and publications orders) available on this website are used to collect personal information. CEA collects no personal information about you, unless you choose to provide that information to us. Any personally identifiable data about CEA members, subscribers, customers or website visitors is stored securely and used only for the purpose for which it is provided to us.

Credit card information is used only for payment processing and fraud prevention. Credit card information and other sensitive personal information required to process a credit decision is not used for any other purpose by our financial services providers or CEA and will not be kept longer than necessary for providing the services, unless you ask us to retain your credit card information for future purchases.

To opt-out of receiving communications you have expressly requested, use the following methods:

  • Select the e-mail "unsubscribe" link, or follow the opt-out instructions included in each subscription communications.
  • Write to the CEA Privacy Officer – be sure to provide your name, e-mail and postal address, and relevant information about your CEA subscriptions and registrations.

The CEA website may use "cookies" that identify your language preferences during a visit to our site. If you have cookies turned off, you will have to manually choose French or English each time you select a page. CEA does not use cookies that permanently store data on your hard drive, nor to identify individual users.

CEA does regularly collect aggregate data about site visitors through site statistics. This does include collecting any identifying or personal information about individual users. The purpose is to track overall patterns of site activity. We do not use this information for commercial purposes or share it with outside parties.
